The Abitibi Greenstone Belt, where Amex Perron gold mining exploration project is located, has produced greater than 200 million ounces (Moz) of gold since 1901. The total gold content of the belt, including past production and current reserves/resources, exceeds 300 Moz. The belt hosts 21 gold deposits containing more than 3 Moz each (source: Ressource Mines et Industrie Magazine).
