PERRON GOLD PROJECT
Amex Exploration Inc. (TSX-V: AMX, FRA: MX0, OTCQX: AMXEF), a junior gold mining company, has made a significant gold discovery in Quebec at its 100% owned high grade Perron Gold Project. Amex is led by an experienced management team of gold mine finders who have invested their own capital into the company in corporate financings and are focused on building shareholder value.
The Project is well serviced by existing infrastructure, being located about an hour north of Rouyn-Noranda (~110 km), on a year-round road, 10 minutes from an airport and just outside the town of Normétal (~8 km), where a mine operated until 1975. During its operation, the Normétal mine produced 10 Mt at 2.25% copper, 5.4% zinc, 0.5 g/t Au and 44.5 g/t Ag. The Perron project is also in close proximity to a number of major operating gold mining companies and their milling operations.
The company launched an extensive drill program consisting of multiple drills on site to complete a 300,000 m drill program by the end of 2021. Since January 2019, Amex has intersected significant gold mineralization in three different gold zones that stretch over 3.6 km of lateral strike along the Perron Fault Zone.
EASTERN GOLD ZONE
The Eastern Gold Zone (EGZ), which consists of the High Grade Gold Zone (HGZ) at depth and the Denise Zone near surface, is being drilled extensively and will form a major portion of Amex’s initial maiden resource. 100+ holes have returned greater than 10 g/t Gold in the EGZ alone.
In the 2019 drill program, the first hole on HGZ returned 393.33 g/t Au over 1.70 m in hole PE2019-22 at a vertical depth of 170 m. The 2021 drilling campaign on HGZ at depth returned 102.07 g/t Au over 6.10 m at a depth of 870 m. Metallurgy testing at HGZ demonstrated exceptional gold and silver recovery (+99%) using a 3-stage processing technique (gravity, flotation, and cyanidation).
In 2021, drilling on the Denise Zone returned 1.58 g/t Au over 38.80 m at a depth of 150 m.
GRATIEN GOLD ZONE
The Gratien Gold Zone (GGZ) is furthest west from the HGZ along the Perron fault. The zone has near surface mineralization. Highlight drill result 41,30 g/t Au and 13.68 g/t Ag over 4.10 m from 87.10 m depth.
GREY CAT ZONE
The Grey Cat Zone (GCZ) has near-surface gold over substantial widths, including 2.19g/t Au over 23.60 m, including 15.45 g/t Au over 1.5 m.
210 GOLD ZONE
The 210 Gold Zone is a new high-grade gold structure approximately 650 m north-west of the HGZ and 500 m north-east of the GCZ. It was discovered in a new gold structure proximal to the Normétal fault zone. Highlight assay result: 58.25 g/t over 3.90 m at a depth of 110 m.
Amex has recently discovered a high-grade copper-rich Volcanogenic Massive Sulphide (VMS) zone. Highlight drill results: 2.40% Cu, 0.72% Zn, 0.27 g/t Au and 22.15 g/t Ag over 7.80 m, including 3.92% Cu, 1.20% Zn, 0.39 g/t Au and 35.99 g/t Ag over 4.40 m. A follow-up drill hole on the zone returned similar results. An additional 5,000 m of drilling has been allocated to this zone.
The above mentioned drill results are examples of the reported drill holes Amex Gold Zones as well as the VMS discovery. Full results from the all zones can be seen in the Company’s press releases and the data room.
OTHER PROSPECTIVE GOLD PROJECTS
Besides the Perron gold project, Amex has other highly prospective gold projects: the 100% owned Eastmain River gold properties comprising 119 claims covering 6,261 ha. In addition, Amex has the 100% owned Lebel-sur-Quévillon Gold project located in Lebel-sur-Quévillon comprising 73 claims covering 4,073 ha.
